Another post related to a discussion started in my LinkedIn group. The question asked “To what extent is work with social networking in education limited by overzealous filtering” or something along those lines.  I’ve been looking into it and posting some of my findings here. My last post pointed out that in some situations the firewalls/filtering is a non-issue for many students and more of a hinderance to teachers in their attempt to bring social media into the classroom. This article discusses how to get around some of the filters put in place by the school IT staff.
